SLIDES FOR THE SENIOR PRESENTATION:
Each slide should have an interesting and relevant visual
Slide presentation should include charts, graphs, and/or statistics to support your claim
Each slide must have citation to indicate your sources
Each slide should have main idea with supporting evidence as bullet points only

An introductory slide with the title of your senior research
One slide per main idea
Slide(s) with bullet points supporting main idea
Slide(s) with charts, graphs, and/or statistics to support your claim
The information on the charts, graphs, and/or statistics MUST BE LARGE ENOUGH TO BE SEEN BY THE AUDIENCE!
Each piece of information must be cited on the slide
You may use photos of your work on the project product
You may use a video no longer than one minute of your project product
A final slide with either the answer to your senior project question or a remedy for a chronic social problem or a call to action
The last slide should be your work cited page.
            There should be a minimum of eight sources
            The citations should be large enough to see from the audience

Wednesday, January 24th:
Break into groups and begin working on your presentation.
Please be sure to read the entire article - even the parts you are not presenting!
We will begin presenting on Friday!

Please bring your ERWC grammar book (the spiral notebook).
"Rhetorical Grammar for Expository Reading and Writing", pages 1 - 8 will be assigned.
Activity 2,  3, 4, and 5 will be due on Tuesday, January 30th.

Thursday, January 25th: 
Break into groups to work on your presentation. Remember: each person must create a slide. The group presentation must include the following: slide(s) for the main idea(s), slide(s) for the supporting evidence(s) for each main idea, and slide(s) for the conclusion or call to action based on the evidence.

Activity 2: Correcting Run-On Sentences 1 - 8
Correct the run-on sentences by either using a period, a semi-colon, a comma and a coordinating conjunction, make one sentence a subordinate clause and join it with the main clause with a semi-colon and a common subordinating  word such as "because, since, when, etc."

Activity 3: Correcting Subject - Verb Agreement Errors 1 - 9
Write each sentence and correct them. Underline the subject and  italicize the verb. Make sure that the verb corresponds with the subject.

Activity 4: Combining Sentences 1 -  5
Combine the short choppy sentences into one sentence. Make sure that they are punctuated correctly and the subject - verb are in agreement.

Activity 5: Editing Student Work
Rewrite the paragraph, correcting the run-on sentences, and underline the subject-verb agreements.

This will be due on Tuesday, January 30th.

Friday, January 26th: 
1st group presented but without the slides - there was a glitch with the slides. They will e-mail the slides to me and present them on Monday:
