Monday, March 19th: 8:20 – Log onto your schoology account and access the Brave New World test. The test is open from 8:20 to 9:13. You have one attempt. It is a multiple choice test. Choose carefully! For homework: Please read Chapter Four, Part 2, Chapter Five, Parts 1 and 2 to Chapter 6 Please write a brief summary of what you have read. Please use your own words. Monday, March 12th: Brave New World  Standards:  Reading, analyzing complex literary text and communicating the analysis of the complex text verbally and through the written word. Task/ Objectives : The students will demonstrate an understanding of the plot, characters, themes and figurative language and science used in Brave New World.  Agenda:  Students will give a presentation via power point analyzing the first 56 pages of Brave New World in terms of plot, character, themes, figurative language, and analysis and explanation of the science.  The student audience will take notes, and following the presentations, there will be a question and answer session in which presenters will answer the audience questions. How to calculate your scores: 3/5 will calculate to 60% 5 = 5 4 = 4.25 3 = 3.75 2 = 3.25 1 = 2.5 You add the numbers together And the divide the sum by .775 Move the decimal to get percent Go over the agenda for the rest of the semester. Tuesday, March 6th:  Check out Brave New World  You will be assigned groups to create presentations on the following aspects of Brave New World.  You will create power points and presentations which will analyze the following aspects of Brave New World:  Plot, Characters, Themes, Figurative Language, Motifs The first presentation will begin on Monday, March 12th and continue through Tuesday, March 13th.
