Choose one from the following:

You are:
An advertising group trying to create an ad campaign to help the homeless.

An advocacy group trying to convince the zoning department to allow a homeless encampment in an area of the city.

A business group trying to dissuade the zoning department from allowing a homeless encampment in the area of the city.

An oil lobbyist group trying to persuade the state to allow off-shore drilling.

You must use pathos, ethos, and logos in your argument.
You must use credible evidence from a reliable source to support your position.
You must include a counter-argument.
You must include a rebuttal to the counter – argument.

Rubric:
Superior - A
Good – B
Adequate - C
Failed to Meet Standard - F
Techniques of pathos, logos, and ethos were fully presented:
Created a compelling scene(s) in which all three techniques of arguments were clearly and completely used: pathos, logos, ethos

Created a scene in which all three techniques of argument were competently used: pathos, logos, ethos

Created an adequate scene in which all the techniques were used but were not fully developed.

Did not create a competent scene in which all the techniques were demonstrated or clearly and completely demonstrated.
