Continue working on your rough draft:
Before you hit submit, please proof read your rough draft for the following:
Make sure you write out numbers below 100. For example,
seven days; not 7 days.
Pronoun/antecedent issues:
Use plurals.
There are many instances where a young woman can find
themselves in dangerous situations. Wrong!
Either consistently use plural pronouns or singular pronouns but don’t mix and match.

Rough draft checklist:
Before you hit that submission button please make sure you
have done the following:
Make sure you have capitalized the first words of each
sentence.
Make sure you have capitalized names and titles.
Make sure each sentence is a complete sentence: it has a
subject, a verb, and expresses a complete thought.
Make sure each sentence is not a run-on: After the second or
third clause, put a period or a semi-colon, and then start a new sentence with
subject, a verb, and expresses a complete thought.
Make sure you do not mix plural pronouns with singular
pronouns – see above.
Make sure you are citing your sources to support your
evidence.
If you are unsure how to do
in-text citation, please go to Purdue OWL (On-line Writing Lab).Read your submission and make sure IT MAKES SENSE!

Take a brief moment to take the Level F, Unit Two Vocabulary test on schoology.
The word on #16 is precipitate
One more friendly note:
When writing your research paper, please note that the words
(relative pronoun) “who”, “whom”, “whose”, or “whoever” are used with people:
Example: Sex traffickers prey on young women who are seen as
vulnerable.
Young women is the subject of the adjective clause "who are seen as vulnerable." The adjective clause acts just like an adjective except it is a clause, not just one word like vulnerable.
The young woman is vulnerable.
The young woman who is vulnerable should learn self defense.
"Who" is the relative pronoun that connects the subject (young women) with the adjective clause.
The word (relative pronoun) “that” is used with animals or
ideas or things:
The dog that was found last night was returned home.
The idea that one should give up basic rights for security
is a specious one.
Your completed rough draft is due on Friday, October 27th.

The rough draft is due on Friday, October 27th at
11:59 p.m.
The concluding paragraph:
The concluding paragraph should have the thesis statement
but restated – don’t recycle the thesis statement you used in your introductory
paragraph. Change it a bit – same idea but different wording.
Brief reprise the three or four main ideas you developed in
your body paragraphs.
Then deliver a killer ending sentence which succinctly wraps
up your argument or conclusion.
Do NOT write “In conclusion,…..”
One final point: please have a header on each page.
The header is your last name and the page number in the
upper right hand corner.
You do not have to have a header on the first page but you
do on all subsequent pages:
