Tomorrow, we will break into the same groups. Your group will pick one of the above questions and give a class presentation on it.

Please answer the following questions incorporating the questions in your answers. Please turn your answers into turnitin.com.  This is homework.
1. Describe Winston's dream. What unconscious fears and desires are revealed by his dream?

2. Why are there no written records of the time period in which the old form of goverment was swept away and the new form was implemented?

3. Why do you think the old man in the underground was crying? Who were the "buggers" the old man kept saying that they should not have trusted?

4. According to the govenment, what has never changed? And what truth does Winston know?  Are there historical events that our own government has not acknowledged or claims never happened?

The following students: Johana Cervantes, Gabriele Elvir, Jose Farfan, Ty Howze, Alejandra Martinez, Jonathan Molina, Cheyenne Wells-Greeen need to write a two page argumentative essay on the article, “Actually, There is a Clear Link Between Mass Shootings and Mental Illness.” This must be hand written and will be due at the end of the period.

Assignment: read pages 63 – 104 in 1984  and write a minimum 250 word analysis. The assignment must include the following: a one paragraph summary; a one paragraph analysis of each character; a one paragraph thematic analysis.
